Im trying to grow my hair out reaal long...advise?

I'm wanting to grow my hair out at least 6 more inches. Its about 3 inches past my shoulders. Do you have any advise on what i should do to speed up the process. i know hair grows avg .5 in a month but i want to make sure i get that whole .5. It seems like my hair doesnt grow that fast.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do that will speed up the growth process. What you can do is prevent breakage (and apparent slow growth) by not applying harsh chemicals or undue heat ... no color, no perm, no blow drying. Also, use a hair tie that has no metal in it and don't put it in the same place every day. There are as many recommendations for what hair care products to use as there are people. I use Pantene Shampoo followed by Pantene Conditioner and then put Paul Mitchell Conditioner on before I braid my hair.

I don't know about techniques to make it grow faster, but for it to look NICE and long, I think you should get a bare minimum trim every 6 weeks or so. If you get it cut every once and a while this prevents the ends from looking gross and have split ends. Good luck.
