Should i cut my hair or let it grow(i'm a guy)?

i don't know whether to let my hair grow to my shoulders or cut it. i am 14, about 5'7, my hair is dark brown and curly. i think that leaving my hair grow would fit my personality seeing as i'm a guitarist (and am in a band) and my favorite band is Led Zeppelin. if my hair was long it would look very similiar to jimmy page's. however, i am not sure if letting my hair grow will turn the girls away. please help me with this decision

No mullets. Either grow it long or keep it short, one or the other.

No dye for long hair (Did you see the lead singer in My Chemical Romance?) It really is a pain to touch up.

Go for the Kurt Cobane look initially, until you can get it all one length. Bandannas and baseball caps NOT WORN TOGETHER can keep the hair out of your face, because only girls can do bangs (it's so NOT Led Zeppelin, too, more like the Monkees!)

Girls like musicians, so don't worry about that. Worry more about teachers. You will need to "polish the apple" and be more diligent with homework and in class than your preppy peers.

Such is the price of self expression.

One guy used to hang out and play for the teachers in the lunchroom during his spares. That worked well.

Oh, yeah, get a wide toothed comb for after washing, you WILL need conditioner, and spritz in some leave-in conditioner after towel drying and NEVER EVER blow dry.

I think what's hot is when a guy has confidence in his looks, no matter what they are. I personally am a rocker chick myself, so I like long hair, or bald heads. So - I would say let it grow. Plus, long hair is in style for guys right now.

this is something i battled for a while. you just need to do what you feel is right for you. when you get there as long as you have the right attitude about yourself and feel good then girls will notice.

well curley long hair is sometimes a turn-off, this unless you straighten it of course

but i am also in the rock scene and i do enjoy the guys with long hair, but to your sholders maybe a little too long, how about just a bit past your ears, and still kept decent and clean

i guess you could go for that rocker-emo look thats so popular now, by getting bangs and flipping your hair to one side in the front

either way, the clique that yuor in shouldnt determine what your hairstyle is

but i think both long and short (gel-styled) hair is hott, this is coming from a 14 yr, old too, so dont worry

I personally like a guy with a hair cut because many girls tend to not want someone whose hair is longer than theirs. A nice haircut looks nice on any boy in my eyes. I mean you say you are in a band but do you just have to have the "band boy" look. I think you should do whatever makes YOU feel happy and I support you 100 percent. Live your own life and be happy with it.

I think that you should let it grow long and see how people react, you can always cut your hair later if you choose. Long hair is an expression of oneself, long or short you should do what makes you happy and not worry about how others think.

I am an older woman in my 40's, but I grew up in the 70's and long hair was very common, my son who is 21 has hair to his waist and it is curly, he is a tattoo artist, most girls sure seem to like his hair.

There is nothing wrong with guys having long hair,

I feel that hair is an expression of our inner self and therefore if you want to have long hair should go for it.
