I've had, for like a year, a very itchy and oily scalp; I scratched my head day and night, and it is still there (esp in certain places). Now I've noticed that my hair is being lost, especially in the front; everybody noticed also.
Now I want to know three things:
1- Does hair, lost by either STRESS or SCALP problems, grow back after the stress goes away and the scalp is treated?
2- Can wearing a cap worsen the matter? Will hair grow back if I stop wearing the cap all the time?
3-Do you know of anyone who LOST his or her hair and it, by treatment or naturally, GREW back later on?
Your information is appreciated!
(I'll pick up the best answer, tonight.)
Does Hair Lost by Scalp Problems Really Grow back? I'll choose the best answer tonight, ready?
Try this:
Take a handful of fresh lemon balm (it is an herb you can probably purchase at the grocery, you could also try wet lemon balm tea bags: alternately, you could purchase and nourish a lemon balm plant, and harvest as needed) Anyway, rub it in circular motions against your scalp.
Mmmm. Aromatherapy will help soothe your stress and balance your body
Nutrients and minerals should nourish your follicles and stimulate new hair growth. The itchy and oily scalp should abade, especially if you try "shampooing" with honey and rinsing with two quarts cool water and a few drops of vinegar, and maybe a sprig of bruised lemon balm.
I think wearing a cap all day, every day promotes an environment that is not optimal for the hair. It traps heat, moisture, sweat, etc and does not let your hair filter and interact with the wind, and air. But wearing one sometimes should be fine.
Yes, my hair thinned in handfuls postpartum; now it is full, healthy and strong. :-)
Oh yeah, you could also drink lemon balm tea with honey. :-)
Happy hair growing!
