yeah i've been having this short hair for over a year n i'm actually totally sick of it.. i wanna have "hair extension" but my mom won't let me cuz she's afraid that my skin hair will have dandruff or my hair will fall apart since using extension means using some chemicals...

actually if you find the right place or person to do them they should not be damaging to your hair AT ALL and they should not need to use chemicals. there are many different types of extentions, glued in tracts, sewn in tracts, bonded extentions none of which use chemicals. glueing tracts in is simlyp gluing in tracs of real human hair to enhance your natural length. the glue should easily be removed by a good shampoo or special oils for removing extention glue and that will jsut depend on the quality of glue you buy, the sewn in tracts which are personally my favorite, are when you make a series of 3 to 4 tight and conceled corn row braids along the round or your head and then the hair is actually swen onto the braid. these can last from anywhere to a cppl weeks to a cppl months depending on how well youtake care of them . you cant wash your hair very often and the braids do end up itching beacuse of that but its all about what you can handle! it does take some getting used to. then there are the bonding type of extentions that many people love, these are deffinalty more expensive than the other two methods but ive heard they last a lot longer. this is when they use these little...um ...packets of hair almost...on thetip of it is a hardend for on protien called keritain which is actually the protien that forms your hair naturally. they then place the hardend part over a few strands of hair and use a special tool to heat it up which makes it pliable then you roll your natural hair and the extention hair together between your fingers which will form a tight bond between the two. i have heard of people having a difficult time removing them but if you go to a salon im sure they will remove them just fine. so maybe share this info with your mom and she will feel better about letting you try one or more of those options!!! if not my advice would jus be to eat and live healthy and try to keep your hair as healty as possible. good conditioning treatments, regular TRIMS as long as your stylist knows what that means and isnt cuttin off the new growth everytime you come in! try to use your heated styling tools as little as possible and when you do make sure you are useing some sort of heat protectant product *VERY IMPORTANT*. Also there are vitamins ont he market that are for ahir n nails n things like that that you may want to try. Its all abou being healthy and getting all the nutriants you need. hello OK so I'm on answers allot and i see allot of people men and women asking about hair growth so i got really tired of typeing it over and over so i writting an official one that i can just copy and paste to you guys...OK
