I have short hair, but its impossible to grow longer because it grows out and is really fuzzy instead of growing down! how do I fix it?
My hair grows out, how can I get it to grow down?
no matter what hair always grows straight out from the head...and as it gets longer then it will drop down
there really isn't anything you can do besides be patient and wait till your hair grows
best of luck

Try using a good conditioner for a couple weeks, and see if that works. It's better for your hair than constantly using straighteners.

So, while you are waiting for it to grow, you have to be patient with it. I don't know how long it is, but have you tried braids or twists? Having your hair cornrowed might be a way to get through the sticking out stage.
If you don't want to try that, then you can try a silicone based serum (like frizz-ease, except get the generic stuff from Sally's it's much cheaper) and a nice, heat-activated conditioner. After your shower, add the conditioner to your towel-dried hair and dry it with your hair dryer. Then apply the serum.
If your frizzy hair is still acting up, you can try some bees wax, you can get it from any hair supply store that carries dreading supplies. A little goes a long way. You are just using it to control the frizz. Apply it to your hair and use the hair dryer and a metal brush or comb to distribute the warmed wax. This should leave your hair smooth and soft, it's what I use for my dreads, which are very frizzy at times.
Hope this helps.

you cannot change growth patterns(cowlics) but you could use an ionic flat iron and achieve a longer, straighter look. make sure to trim your ends one quarter inch every 4-6 weeks to keep forom slitting and breaking
