A little over two months ago I cut my hair. It was down past my shoulders and I wanted to go natural. I had all the processed hair cut off. Two of my good friends are doing this with me. We have all noticed that our hair is growing, but it's not growing as fast on the sides. Why is this? Is it because we lay on our sides or maybe need to use a Satin or Silk pillowcase? I want it to grow more evenly because I only plan on having it trimmed about 2-3 times a year. That's for your advice.

For prevention of hair loss, herbs have been promoted. Saw Palmetto, Nettle Root, Gotu Kola and few others not only prevent hair loss in men, but also work on women. Pumpkin seed oil may be used to prevent loss of hair, but its inhibitory action on testosterone is yet to be substantiated.
There are few synthetic drugs as well, besides these natural products, which can enhance hair growth. Hair loss can be treated, but it is advisable to arrest it in early forms itself to have better results of your therapy.
