How to get hair to grow longer....?

Okay so I know this is a typical question, but I am still wondering how I can make my hair grow longer faster. In the past few years I colored my hair blonde which pretty much damaged my hair. I have now stopped and now deposit brown color into my hair only. I use shampoo and conditioner blah blah blah ! What else can I do to help repair my hair so it will grow longer faster ? Thanks...

Eat a nutritionally well-balanced diet, especially high in proteins. Most doctors will talk about proteins' role in hair growth and repair.

Stop or at least reduce blow drying and straightening....if you don't, your hair has no chance at repairing and growing.

Reduce as much chemicals and other crap that you put in your hair. As women, we are conditioned to put a lot of products in our hair to make it look good....give your hair a break!!

Apply some hair mask (at any drugstore) and/or oil treatment (like V05 or coconut oil) to your hair on a weekly basis. Leave in for a few hours before washing it out.

Treat your hair gently when brushing or handling your hair.

Lastly, this may seem contradictory....but trimming or cutting your hair once in a while actually helps with growth and keeping your hair in great condition.

ok well i had the same question and there really is no other way to make your hair grow longer other than getting a haircut! i know it sounds crazy but it DOES work! trust me i had the same problem! well next time you get a haircut just get a trim like 1/2 an inch and then wait like 2-3 monthes and go back to get ur haircut and get another 1/2 inch taken off. you should do this because getting a haircut keeps your hair nice and healthy and did you know that your hair grows faster after its cut than if you just didnt get a haircut at all??!!! yup its the truth!! good luck! =)

I agree with amanda3. Get it trimmed every 1-2-3 months. Belive it or not, if you take care of your hair, brushing, washing, conidter, than it can grow up to 1 inch a month. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. I'm trying to grow my hair too, so yup I got the same problem. Try not to dye your hair anymore, that slows down the growing.

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
