I'm trying to grow my hair out for locks of love, but my hair isn't very strong. Any ideas how to get it stronger? I have tons of hair the hair shaft is just really thin. I do NOT use heat and I do NOT color my hair.

also when ur done with ur hair run ur fingers through it with styling cream to thicken it

Do you take a multi-vitamin? If so, start taking Biatin in addition or switch to pre-natal vitamins. If you don't already, start.

I'm glad that you are growing your hair out to donate it! Locks of Love is a wonderful cause, and I have donated hair several times before. You are making the right decision by not coloring or using heat. Try investing in a quality shampoo and conditioner, especially those formulated for thin or weak hair. Remember, quality does not mean it has to cost a fortune! Hard water and harsh brushes can also damage hair, as well as wearing the same style (ponytail, etc) repeatedly.
